Coonoor Acres Wild

Acres Wild near Coonoor is a farm which provides homestay for tourists.

The place, owned by Mansur and Tina Khan is already well known for its cheese. They now provide stay for tourists who love the simple farm life along with the farm animals. The farm is spread over twenty-two acres.

The farm is located in a picture-perfect location amid gently rolling green hills. This home stay is different. It is not a typical hotel.

Guests are invited to help out at the farm. Feed the animals or learn to milk the cows.Help to plant trees and vegetables.

The cottages are cheerfully done up to provide a comfortable stay.

Wild Acres also offers a cheese-making course in which one learns the procedure to make two kinds of cheese.

Wild acres offers bed and breakfast.Breakfast consists of typically continental: fresh milk,homemade museli,fruits,bread and eggs.

You are sure to put on weight during the stay, so be prepared to work it off.

Room charges vary from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 depending on the season.
